Oh My gosh has it been that long
Well it seems I have let the time fly by. Not because I am not out there working but just how it goes I guess. We have been back and forth to Fayetteville about 3 times but no big huge shakes except that I got a great dining room suite for myself. We did pick up some very nice items at last estate auction we went to.. click the thumbnail to see this beauty on Ruby Lane. With gas prices soaring and sales being down, we are being more and more picky about where we travel, and what we buy when we are there. There are no sure things out there that’s for sure… 
just alot of what things did before to base our purchases on. I read an article recently that stated that the collectibles market will survive the storm, as more people sell items they have and new and unique items come on to the market place more buyers will ‘invest’ but money is money and when it’s not there it does not matter how good a deal something is , if you can’t afford it you just can’t afford it. I do know that like many of you I am tired of turning on the news and hearing about the economy. I think that we all know it’s bad, and would love a little good news. Gas prices are down in our area… does that help? We are currently paying 3.50 for a gallon ,, down from 4.00 just two weeks ago . I can’t believe we are excited about this but we are! I read a post on eBay from someone I think Kansas that said they were paying 2.89!!! That’s like money in the bank.. or at least money not in the tank!
I am limiting what we list on eBay, as they roll out the new paypal only policy not sure how this is going to shake out for people. There are alot of sellers who do not like paypal and alot of buyers who don’t use it either. There are those who still have a healthy fear of internet transactions and giving out their personal information. What amazes me is these same people will offer to phone me and give me their credit card number. I always tell them to never do this. But you know they do. I have to hope that PayPal is more secure than the individual dealer taking numbers over the phone and leaving them lying about their shop etc.
